About Alchemist Accelerator
What you get
Alchemist runs a six-month accelerator for companies that sell to enterprises. Its investment is optional: the page gives average proceeds of $30,000, net of the tuition fee offset, usually on a SAFE. Alchemist charges a programme "tuition" that it offsets with additional investment capital; the tuition amount is not stated.
In return it asks for a single-digit grant of common equity: "Most Alchemist companies grant 5.00% of equity," with flexible terms, and it may ask for a minority follow-on right. Besides the flagship programme it lists Alchemist Chicago, Alchemist Doha and Alchemist Japan.
Who qualifies
AI-SaaS and deeptech companies that make money from enterprise customers, whatever the business model. Teams of two or three are preferred; solo founders are accepted but held to a higher bar. You can be based anywhere, but the programme opens with an in-person week in the San Francisco Bay Area and encourages time there.
Good to know
- Deadlines are rolling; you hear back within three weeks of the deadline you applied against.
- Interviews are a 15-minute virtual panel.
- The 5% is common equity, separate from the investment.
Verdict
A focused option for enterprise and B2B founders. The cash is small relative to the equity, so you are paying mainly for the enterprise sales network and programme.
How to apply
- Read the flagship programme page.
- Submit the online application via "Apply Now".
- If invited, do the 15-minute virtual panel interview.
- Expect a decision within three weeks of the deadline you applied against; questions to [email protected].
