About Startup SG Tech
What you get
A competitive grant for commercialising proprietary technology. Proof-of-Concept (POC) projects can receive up to S$400,000 (about $308,000) and Proof-of-Value (POV) projects up to S$800,000 (about $616,000); both caps were raised on 2 January 2025. Money is released as milestones are completed.
Who qualifies
Startups registered in Singapore within the past 10 years, with at least 30% local equity (citizens or PRs, by ultimate ownership), not a subsidiary of a corporate at incorporation, group turnover up to S$100 million or no more than 200 employees, and core R&D in Singapore. The main applicant must play a real role in the company. Your solution must apply science or technology, be breakthrough-level, build on proprietary IP and be commercially viable, in one of the listed areas (advanced manufacturing, biomedical, cleantech, ICT, food tech, agritech and others). You must show paid-up capital of at least 10% of a POC grant or 20% of a POV grant; POV also needs proof of interest from a customer or investor.
Good to know
This is not fully non-dilutive. Enterprise Singapore (or its nominee) gets the right to subscribe for shares worth 50% of the grant awarded, capped at 49% of the company, exercised at your next qualifying equity round. The project must not have started when you apply, and off-the-shelf system integration does not count as proprietary technology.
Verdict
Large cheques for genuine deep-tech teams in Singapore, but read the share subscription terms carefully before you count it as free money.

- Complete it, describing your technology, IP and whether you seek POC or POV.
