About Claude for Startups
What you get
Anthropic's startup programme (Claude Startups) bundles several benefits. Members get access to the Claude Startup Stack, a set of discounts and credits from companies that build with Claude, which Anthropic describes as worth up to $45,000. These partner offers come from independent third-party companies, not from Anthropic. Examples listed today include $5K of ClickHouse Cloud credits, 12 months of ElevenLabs with 33M characters, six months of Hex Enterprise and three months of Granola Business.
Founders backed by a VC in Anthropic's partner network can claim up to $100K in additional API credits, through that VC. Members who receive credits also get higher API rate limits automatically, plus fortnightly 45-minute Applied AI office hours, events, hackathons and meetups.
Who qualifies
The page says the programme is open to bootstrapped, pre-seed and venture-backed startups, and that you do not need VC funding to apply. The largest API credit amount is reserved for startups backed by a partner VC.
Good to know
- Credits only work on the first-party Claude API in the Claude Console. You cannot spend them on AWS Bedrock, Google Cloud Vertex AI or other third-party platforms.
- Anthropic says the free year of Claude Team and the $1,000 API credit offer are currently over capacity after "hundreds of thousands of applications". Offers already claimed stay active, and all applications will be re-reviewed.
- Anthropic aims to review applications within one week. Offers are redeemed with a code in the Console.
- The page does not publish a fixed credit amount for direct applicants.
Verdict
If you are building on Claude, it is worth applying for the rate limits, office hours and partner perks. Treat the $100K figure as a partner-VC benefit: if your investor is in Anthropic's network, ask them for the claim route.

- Wait for the decision email (Anthropic aims to review within one week).
