What you get

FounderPass is an independent membership that negotiates discounts with software and service vendors. The site claims 400+ exclusive perks (its FAQ says 350+ verified discounts) and "$4,000,000+ in exclusive savings" (the FAQ says over $3 million); we do not use either total as a value.

Plans on the pricing page:

• Basic: free forever, with access to free deals and lower discounts.
• Premium: $99 a year (shown against a struck-through $149), unlocking the full set of deals.
• Lifetime: $499 one-off, including Premium for life plus a one-year Premium pass to give to another founder.

Who qualifies

Anyone who signs up; you do not need a bank account, accelerator or funding. Each vendor sets its own conditions.

Good to know

• Unlike bank perk catalogues, the best deals sit behind a paid tier, so add up the perks you will actually use before paying.
• Deals can pause or change (vendor offers move between catalogues), so check each one before you rely on it.
• The site's own figures are inconsistent, a sign to verify individual deals rather than headline totals.

Make a list of the tools you will buy this year and check them against the deals before you upgrade. Cancel Premium before renewal if you no longer use the paid deals.

Verdict

Worth a look for bootstrapped founders who cannot access bank or accelerator perk lists. Start on the free tier and upgrade only if two or three Premium deals pay for it.
