What you get

Intercom Early Stage is a three-year discount on Intercom's helpdesk and Fin AI agent:

• 93% off in year one, 50% off in year two, 25% off in year three.
• The package includes 6 Advanced seats, 6 Copilot seats, 20 Lite seats and Proactive Support Plus (500 messages a month).
• Included Fin usage: 300 outcomes and 15 qualifications a month in year one, 150 outcomes in year two and 75 in year three (15 qualifications a month each year).

The discount also applies to usage-based costs such as email, conversations above 1,000 a month, messages above 500 a month and seats beyond six. Intercom lists its helpdesk from $65 a month; no total dollar value is stated for the programme.

Who qualifies

Startups with up to $10M in funding, fewer than 15 employees, and that are not already Intercom customers. Accelerators, incubators and VCs can also apply to offer the programme to their portfolios, but a partner is not required.

Good to know

• Extra Fin outcomes and qualifications, phone, SMS and WhatsApp are charged at list price.
• Year-two and year-three savings only apply if you stay on the programme; switching to a self-serve or sales-led plan forfeits them.
• After the programme, the Essential plan starts at $39 per seat per month.

A generous deal if customer support and in-app messaging are central to your product. Watch the usage-based extras, especially Fin outcomes, which are where bills grow.
