About Termly
What you get
Termly generates the legal policies your website or app needs (privacy policy, terms and conditions, cookie policy and others), hosts them, and runs a cookie consent banner with regular cookie scans. Plans on the pricing page, per website per month:
- Free: one basic legal policy, 10,000 banner views a month, one user and quarterly cookie scans. No policy edits, no Termly-hosted policies and no multi-language policies.
- Starter: $10 a month billed annually or $14 billed monthly; two legal policies, 10 policy edits, 50,000 banner views a month, five users and monthly scans.
- Pro+: $15 a month billed annually or $20 billed monthly; unlimited policies, edits, banner views and users, and weekly scans.
- Agency: custom pricing, from 10 websites.
Who qualifies
Anyone with a website or app. It is self-serve, with no stage or region requirement.
Good to know
- Annual billing saves 25%. On the day we checked, the page also advertised an extra 20% off annual plans with code FALL2026.
- The free plan is enough to publish one basic policy, but you cannot edit it and banner views are capped, so most live products end up on Starter.
- A generated policy is a starting point. If you process sensitive data or sell in regulated sectors, have a lawyer check it.
Verdict
Termly is a cheap, quick way to get a privacy policy and a working consent banner on your landing page before launch. Start free, then move to Starter once you need to edit policies or exceed the banner limit.
How to apply
- Open the Termly pricing page and pick Free, Starter or Pro+.
- Create an account and add your website.
- Answer the policy generator questions about the data you collect.
- Publish or embed the policy and install the consent banner script.
- Run a cookie scan and review the results.
