About Miro for Startups
What you get
Miro for Startups has three tracks on the official page:
- Early-stage startups: free Miro credit. The apply page says you qualify for $1,000 if you work with one of Miro's global partners, or you can apply for $500 without a partner link.
- Scale-ups: a discount of up to 25%.
- Partners (accelerators, incubators, VCs, communities) can join to offer the deal to their members.
Miro does not name the plan the credit applies to or how long it lasts.
Who qualifies
You need a free Miro account and must answer a few questions to verify eligibility. The page does not publish funding or employee limits. Partner affiliation sets the credit size.
Good to know
- If you were told you have a partner deal but did not get a link, contact your partner rather than applying without it, or you will get the smaller amount.
- Credit expiry and the plan it covers are not stated, so check the confirmation email.
- Miro is useful for early product work: user-journey maps, wireframes, sprint boards and investor-update diagrams.
Use the credit when you have a concrete job for it: mapping the customer journey after interviews, planning the MVP scope, or running a remote sprint. Applying too early means the credit may lapse before your team is collaborating on boards every week.
Verdict
A small but easy perk. $500 to $1,000 covers a small team on a paid Miro plan for a while; apply once you are actually collaborating on boards.
How to apply
- Create a free Miro account.
- Ask your accelerator or VC whether they are a Miro partner and get their link.
- Open miro.com/startups/apply (or the scale-up offer page if you are later stage).
- Answer the eligibility questions and submit.
