What you get

The JetBrains Startup Program gives 50% off professional development and team tools:

• up to 10 IDE subscriptions (IntelliJ IDEA, PyCharm, WebStorm and others);
• up to 10 paid team or learning tool subscriptions;
• up to 10 JetBrains AI subscriptions (AI Pro or AI Ultimate only);
• unlimited participating plugins, up to 10 licences each.

The discount lasts five years from approval, or until you reach the purchase limits.

Who qualifies

• Your company is privately owned.
• You can prove it was established within the last five years.
• It has a website or another discoverable online presence.

The discount is available once per organisation, and subsidiaries are not eligible. Personal and floating licences are excluded, and the offer cannot be combined with other JetBrains offers.

The partner route

If you are in a JetBrains partner incubator, accelerator or VC, use that benefit instead: partners offer six months of free access to up to 10 licences, followed by the 50% discount. You cannot apply for both.

Verdict

A long-running, predictable discount for teams that use JetBrains IDEs. It is a discount, not free licences, unless you come through a partner. Check first whether your accelerator or investor is a JetBrains partner, because the free six months only come through that route and you cannot switch later.
