Sentry for Startups 🎁 Program

What you get

Sentry for Startups gives up to $5,000 in Sentry credits, expiring after 12 months, plus priority support. Credits apply to Sentry's error monitoring, tracing, session replay, logs and related products.

Who qualifies

Sentry lists three requirements:

• founded in the last 2 years;
• raised less than $5M in venture capital;
• new to paying for Sentry.

You need a free Sentry account before applying, because the form asks for your organisation slug (the subdomain in your Sentry URL).

Good to know

• Founders in Y Combinator or a16z speedrun have a separate deal through their own portals; Sentry notes the deals do not stack.
• The form asks for your founding date, total funding and investor names.
• Sentry generally replies within 2 to 3 days.
• Open-source projects and nonprofits have a separate Sentry for Good program.

Verdict

A small but practical perk: error monitoring is one of the first paid tools a growing product needs, and $5,000 covers a long stretch for most early teams. The two-year age limit rules out many startups. Apply as soon as you ship to real users, because the 12-month expiry starts when you join. If you are a YC or a16z speedrun company, compare the separate deal first, since you cannot combine the two. Sentry also works well alongside a product analytics tool such as PostHog, Mixpanel or Amplitude, which have their own startup programs listed in this category.
